PRESENTATION FORMS

Forms of presentation you can have

Workshop (WONCA Network Workshop or regular workshop): 75 minutes. Interactive group sessions on a wide range of relevant topics for GP/FM. We advise keeping the introduction and presentations brief, for example 5-10 minutes, to maximise the time for shared learning interactions between delegates such as working in pairs, in small groups or inviting open floor discussion among all the delegates present. Workshops can also be used to train practical skills and to explore differences and similarities between family doctors in different health systems. Electronic survey apps may be used.

Symposium (WONCA Network Symposium or regular Symposium): 75 minutes. Coordinated presentations by two or more speakers on a topic, may be in theoretical or lecture format or varied, followed by open discussion or guided group work on different aspects of the topic. The interactive section is proportionately shorter than a workshop. Electronic survey apps may be used.

Lecture Presentation: 10 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A (15 minutes in total). Lecture format serves as a platform to present research projects and their results within the target group. The presenter engages in discussions with the audience about the scientific and practical implications of the research. Additionally, ideas and messages from the audience stimulate further discussion.

Short Lecture Presentation: 5 minutes + 2 minutes Q&A (7 minutes in total). The emphasis lies in a targeted and step-by-step structure, if necessary with an animated slide. This format is particularly suitable for introducing new projects or processes. Methodically complex contributions or result discussions are less suitable for this format.

Case Report Presentation: 5 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A (10 minutes in total). Using Clinical Cases for shared learning on diagnostic/therapeutic issues, unexpected presentations or outcomes, classical and atypical cases and complex clinical challenges

ePoster: ePosters are submitted and presented only in digital format in 2024. Special screen facilities will be provided on site. There are no printed posters at this conference. Each ePoster specifies one author as presenter. That name is indicated on the Conference app where the abstract is displayed so that ePoster presenters can be contacted during the conference and for follow up after the conference through the app. Only people who register for the WONCA Europe Conference 2024 will have their poster displayed and have the ability to download the app.
